EU International Fair

Representatives from Project Forth attended the EU International Fair on October 2, 2022 that aimed at highlighting various international projects in Asia. Dr. Emma T. Melgarjo spoke on the objectives of the training of trainers as well the submission and approval of MAED-TCA proposal to CHED.

On the other hand, Dr. Julia Gonzales Ferreras talked about the project as it moves to prospects in the future. Prior to this topic, she also discussed the extension of the major (MAED- TCA) beyond the Forth consortium; creation of a national professional support community; development of research on challenged areas; connecting with similar successful experiences in other parts of the world; replication of Forth experience in other parts of the world; and joint masters program with European universities.

While, Dr. Robert Wagenaar discussed the outcomes of Forth and its specifics aims like a master’s offering, specializations based on the six modules developed by the project, a repository of methodologies, a learning community, and experiences which will be a robust basis for thesis writing and further research.

The local counterparts in the person of Dr. Ma. Asuncion Christine Dequilla of West Visayas State University and Dr. Ricver Ureta of University of St. La Salle shared how the project began in the Philippines, the initial steps with several launchings and meetings that took place in 2019. Also, they explained the Spirit of Forth and the best practices from the action researches which became one of the outputs of the project.
